Nothing here is a production TWIN or RevixFortis score. Closed experiment Does 7-day TVL change overstate stress in BUIDL-class products over a US banking weekend? Status: closed · 14–21 Sep 2026 Finding Yes. 7-day TVL overstates weekend stress when Crowd is flat. 14–15 Sep was a small drip. 19–21 Sep was the real test: BUIDL lost $330m over the closed primary window and the public tally stayed 108. USYC/OUSG wallets barely moved. Throughput fell; the register did not empty. That is omnibus / treasury-management flow, not a run. A 7-day TVL print alone would have looked like stress. Dual-channel (Pulse vs Crowd) would not. Why price and TVL are not enough What headline metrics miss Across documented periods of redemption pressure in crypto-native and traditional money-market products, headline price and total value often remain orderly until a liquidity cascade is already under way. The earlier change is structural: productive transfers slow while liquidity becomes dependent on fewer participants. That joint deterioration is the signal the Resilience framework is designed to surface before the headline breaks. The practical value is time — more room to assess buffers, terms, and capacity while there is still a choice. Cite the official print: /twin/treasuries/2026-09-21 (https://revixanalytics.com/twin/treasuries/2026-09-21). 14 Sep 2026Why the old clamp(50 + 25×move%) hit zero on BUIDL In our v0 proxy formula, we applied a steep multiplier to the 7-day movement percentage in order to exaggerate small changes in highly stable Treasury products. The formula was clamp(50 + 25 × weekChange, 0, 100). Over a US banking holiday, BUIDL saw a ~2% nominal dip in TVL. Multiplied by 25, this resulted in a -50 penalty, instantly driving the movement score down to 0. The proxy was floored. While this behavior highlights why a simple multiplier is too fragile for a public proxy, it also demonstrated exactly the kind of edge case the TWIN production methodology is designed to smooth out using proper timescale denoising and volatility-adjusted weighting. For the Lab, we've softened the multiplier to 8 and constrained the floor to 5 to keep it functional as a toy model. 14 Sep 2026Crowd stayed tight over the weekend Echoing the recent TWIN print, we observed that despite the minor TVL movements in major tokenised Treasury products over the weekend, the concentration metrics barely budged. When evaluating liquidity and redemption infrastructure, we look for divergence: does the capital pool shrink while the participant count drops? Or does it shrink while the participant count remains steady? The latter suggests routine treasury management rather than a structural exit. The "crowd" (the spread channel) staying tight even as throughput dipped is a strong indicator of resilience. It shows the value of a dual-channel approach over relying solely on top-line TVL. ---- # https://centrelab.org/failures Bench (https://centrelab.org/)Instruments (https://centrelab.org/instruments)Legislation (https://centrelab.org/legislation)Notes (https://centrelab.org/notes)Failures (https://centrelab.org/failures)Sources (https://centrelab.org/sources)About (https://centrelab.org/about)Full text (https://centrelab.org/llms-full.txt)Failures.
